I often hear [students] say things like, "You can do it!"
When I think of some of the good things that I have seen happen this year, I think of relationships. An example would be the way that the first graders rally to encourage each other. I often hear them say things like, "You can do it!' or 'You'll do better next time!" Another example is how in third-sixth grade class, students help each other with their work. They will stick with it until they understand the problem. I have never seen this level of students assisting others.
